turning off sub amp

hey guys, i'm a noob when it comes to sound systems. here's a question, what can i do to be able to turn off my subwoofer amp? like if i didnt want my subs going can i put a switch in the remote turn on lead to turn it off???? also, if I have 2 amps does this mean i would have to run 2 seperate turn on leads and just put a switch on the sub lead? normally i would just run one remote turn on lead all the way back and split to go to each amp right?

i have a switch for my sub amp for when i want to run my stereo with the car off (the amp will kill the battery in like 30 minutes) made it look like factory and it works perfectly
unless both amps are going to the subs, i would say use 2 different switches

I would look at you HU. Very simple just push the button. S/W on or off. I have a Pioneer HU.

X2....i have a alpine headunit and i always just lower the sub to about 0 and leave it like that but if i want to turn it off then just go deeper in the settings and just turn on or off sub. but if not switches will work good luck
