Why would you need one? Are your lights dimming/voltage dropping?

Forget a capacitor, do the the Big 3 upgrade. There have been a couple thread in the past week about how to do it.

A capacitor wont solve your problem man. You need to upgrade your electrical system.

Start by doing the Big 3 upgrade as i said earlier. That by itself should fix the dimming, but if it doesn't then a High Output alternator would be next.

oh great another n00b that is being spoon fed crap info from another shop

that shop just wants more money from you.
a cap isnt gonna solve your problem. its a waste of money.
doing the big 3 upgrade is a good idea and could possibly solve some of the dimming however if its as bad as you say it is your only option is a high output alternator

sounds like your friend has a stronger electrical setup OTHER than the cap

Its true.

Cap=band aid
Big 3/alt upgrade=fix.

Do a search, it has been covered alot. Also, what kind of amp do you have? I am curious as to what amp a shop would say "needs a cap".

Oh ok, didnt realize that it was a Exile 1200W

You need a 77farad cap (CANT BE 76 because thats too small, and 78 will fry your amp). The only company that makes it is URSHPSRNG Engineering.

That shop carries it.

NO CAP!
