sorry guys i was away for the weekend? im not sure if my subs are 2 or 4 ohms.. how can i tell? or what is the differnce and which one is better just for the record?

it should say somewhere on the back of the sub or on the original box if you still have it
2, 4, dual 2, and dual 4 have different wiring configurations that allow you to run the amp at different output levels. ex: my amp does 1200 watts at 1 ohm, or 600 at 2 ohm, or 400 at 4 ohm
its not really a matter of one being better than the other but generally what you want to do is buy the amp first and then match subs.
so find out what the subs are and we'll see if we can find you an amp

ok it was on a old box i found they are 2 ohms

Single voice coil (SVC) or dual voice coil (DVC)??

If all it says is 2 ohm, then probably single.

If its SVC the woofer will only have one pos. and one neg. connection, if its DVC the sub will have 2 pos. and 2 negs.
