Bartak1, I havent found out how its wired yet, I'm using the Alpine CDA-9857

mSaLL150, I have an Audiobahn just like that (chrome and shiny) running my mids & highs, and it gets hot as heelllll...but I paid 150 for it so I never lost any sleep over it. haha

ok didnt read half the posts so sorry if this was discussed but make sure the amp is not mounted directly to anything, meaning make sure there is a gap between the floor or wall or whatever it is muonted to, this should help alot, but wont cure improper wireing

ok so i am having the same kind of problem he is as well. (sorry to hi-jack)

kenwood 1000w amp (mono)
2 12" pioneer premier shallows (1400w max each)

it just recently started cutting out for about 30 seconds at a time occasionally. checked my wiring. its fine. i had talked to a few places and they said the 1000w mono was the way to go(really hope they didnt lie)
anyways ill try and explain how its wired. now im not an electrical genius so if you need more detail please explain specificaly what you need to no.

power to amp.
2 subs wired seperately to amp (has place for two subs)
rca wires to amp.
ground to bolt on body where old jack used to be

Thats prolly your problem. Ground to chassis and scrape off all paint. Ground needs to have less than 1ohm of resistance.

What impediance are the subs?
