Quick 4-channel amp question

So I've had my system set up for about a year now, and i'm looking for more power. I have pioneer 3-ways (rated to 50w RMS) in all the doors of my 04 screw, and I'm about to upgrade to infinity components up front, and 2-ways in the back. I currently have an Alpine MRP-F250 4 channel (4x40w RMS) pushing the 3-ways and an Alpine MRP-F450 monoblock pushing the 10" sub. I have the speaker wire running directly to the speakers in the doors from the amp. Is there any way to make use of the extra 15w RMS from the deck to get a little more power, or is this a no-no? If it's a no go, I'm hoping the infinity's will get a little bit better SQ, because I can hear the bass distortion in these pioneers 2/3 volume.

If you have the basic pioneer speakers which it sonuds like you do, the infinitys will blow them out of the water. The only way to get more power to them is to get a new amp.

I don't know of a way to get the power out of the deck, but you shouldn't need it. 40w RMS should be enough to get great sound out of good speakers.

I have Infinity reference 6x8 in my rear door speakers and they are good. And I have Infinity Kappa 6x8 speakers in the Front and they are a bit better, but they are both very good choices IMO

the kappa's you have up front - are they the 680.9cs? Crutchfield is listing them as not fitting up front in the 04+, i think they're too deep? - i was looking at the reference 6820's instead, but if the kappa's fit...:o

Infinity is definitely the way to go. I put the Reference 6822cf's in the front doors at Christmas and just this past Thursday, I put a pair of the Kappa 682.7cf's in the rear doors. I have them hooked up to an Alpine CDA-9883 head unit. They sound great but I still want more so I am looking at picking up an Alpine MRP-F300 4 channel amp. If you haven't picked up your new speakers yet, look at Crutchfield. They have all of their Infinity speakers on sale!

My buddy has infinity comps in his truck..the tweeters are harsh and the midbass leaves some to be desired...

I'd look into some better models if you are doing components.

Phoenix Gold RSDs, Alpine Type Rs, Polk Momos, Rainbow SLCs, ID CTXs, Cadence CWM6s, are all good budget options.
