Aftermarket subs/amp w/factory nav

Aftermarket subs/amp w/factory nav

questions is can this be done without using speaker wires for the signal, and how hard is this to do? the more detials the better as i want to do this but really do not want to use a converter. thanks

Without using the stock wiring for signal?? Not possible as far as I know.
You either have to tap a converter into them, or else splice into them and run them to the high-level inputs on your amp if it has them.

Either way you are going to be cutting into your factory wiring.

Why dont you want to use a line out converter?

i see crutchfield has a factory plug that gives the radio rca's, seems like the way to go

You are right, I should have read your question better. They do make a harness that will plug into your factory HUs sub outputs and has an RCA connection on the other end, since the sub outs are already low level from the HU.
Only downfall is it is only low freq.s so you can only use it on a sub amplifier (wont work for door speakers that I know of) and second, your HU has to have factory sub outputs....
