Alpine PDX-5

Has anyone used the Alpine PDX-5? It's a 5 channel amp (75x4 + 300x1) and I was wondering if there were any advantages of going with two seperate amps (1 for speakers, 1 for sub) versus this 5 channel.

I am starting to order parts for my system, and have pretty much planned on:

Front: Alpine 6.5" R series components
Back: Alpine 5x7 R series
Sub: JL Stealthbox (1 10")
HU: Still deciding between the 8120 and AVIC-F90BT.

Inf your average daily install, there is really no advantage in going with separate amps over a single 5 or 6 channel.

I think an Alpine PDX 5channel would be a great choice considering all the space you would save, as long as it has the power you want/need.

Im not sure this is the best application for the PDX-5. Those Type-R's are EXTREMELY power hungry. They really start to shine > 90W.
