I'm working on tweeter placement.I built some plastic movable tweeter cups to see where sounds best, so far I really like them as far forward pointing at the back of the mirror as I can get them.

This puts the image way out past the glass at easily mirror high.

Ive been wanting to stick my tweeters there for a long time, just dont want to cut up the truck. I too think it would be a great area that would keep the soundstage up high and pretty good depth wise. Only thing I dont like is that it is so far away from the mid, but there is just no good place too put it around the mids.

F150Truckin and I talked about tweeter placement quite a bit also, and he finally ended up putting his CAL 25s right there and seemed to like it. I beleive he said he is going to try the sail panels with this new set of tweets...
