Yet another amp wiring question

Hey guys

I've been reading here and other forums for about a week now planning for my install tonight. Got the head unit and speakers but now I'm stumped on the power wire for the amp.

I've read more than one post that says there's a grommet "under the passenger door" and you feed the wire over the wheel well. I can't for the life of me figure out where this grommet/hole is. I've looke on both sides, and checked out the pictures online - lots of guys posting close-ups of the wire comign through the hole but that doesn't help me determine where this whole is in relation to the passenger door.

Does anyone know if it's in the cab, in the door well somewhere, somewhere else?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers

Dave

It might be different between models but i have a 06 supercab and i found a huge grommet on the drivers side underneath the brake pedal. There was a pre-cut fabric cover on it that pulled back very easily and there it was. You can not miss it. I never found the one on the passenger side, which I originally wanted to wire it since the battery is on that side for me. It all worked out well and I ran it right over the engine. Used some twist ties to hold it up so it wouldnt rub on the motor, just incase.

1) Open your doors

2) See plastic trim panel around door sill?

3) Pull it off.

4) Look near the back of that channel.

Also maybe easier to start near rear of cab underneath. Its not hard to find if you have a clue where to look. Its a black grommet abt 1-1.5" in diameter.

X2-Could not have said it better myself, I could not find the grommet either, but as soon as you pull the the plastic sill plate up you cant miss it

Thanks for the info guys. I had found the grommet after all I guess - I just expected it to lead to a hole that stayed INSIDE the channel by the rocker panel as opposed to going through to the bottom and back outside the vehicle. Guess I read all those posts wrong.

At any rate, got everything installed an hooked up. Thanks for the the help!
