Amp rack question?

For those of you who installed your amps on the rear wall behind the rear seats(2004+ supercrew), were you able or did you put that molded carpet piece back on over everything??? I'm not sure if you can if you put the amps there, haven't tried yet, was just wondering?

I am planning to try and pull carpet, mount plywood, reinstall carpet then mount amp through the carpet Saturday. Any reason this won't work?

It's brushed aluminum sign material. We use it to make custom signs and routed letters.
