it looks great man!...i am hoping my crossovers will fit under the window controls.....the only thing i don't like is this the lil cubby hole under the cd player....and its not just yours. i had a cubby hole like that in my '98 F-150 and I didnt like it there either, but its what you gotta do when you have a single din receiver...thats the only reason i am getting the a double din. its great having the space to stick your ipod in or wallet, or whatever. i would love one if they would actually made a little door or something so it doesn't look all open. but your set up looks really professional, man!
how long did it take you to do it?

ZIP-TIES bro!! They are your friend. And hide your wires.

Clean it up then take pics. Then I will congratulate you on your install job.

yeah I know, between my 3 year old and work I'm lucky I got it hooked up. It will be tight and right with about 50 zip ties soon. I would say it took about 8 hours total but I spread it out over 2 weeks after work. Talk about a long drive to work with no tunes!!

Did you order from crutchfield? I was looking on there and it says that the 6.5" component system fits but the regular 2 way type r's don't. i was thinking about getting the 2 ways. did the fit good without any mods?

If you mean the 5x7's yes they fit either 5x7 or 6x8 applications with no modifications.

I realize that I need more power to the Type Rs so wondering what my best option is. Here is what I am considering.

1: Bridging the P400-4 to the front speakers only and using the deck power for rear fill.
2: Buying a more powerful 4channel amp. Any suggestions on amp?

I would go option number 1. It will do the job and save you the money of buying a new amp.

That is the same setup I have. SPR-17s (Comps) for fronts and SPR-17c (Coaxs) for rears. The coax's dont come with the adapter plate that is included with the comps for some reason. They work with them though. You could either buy some from Alpine or just make some out of MDF. I plan on not useing the ones that came with them anyways because they arent too sturdy. I will probably just make some out of mdf and rattle can them.

And to jhogan20, please be sure to give your review or before and after you bridge that 4 channel amp. I am wondering this same question with only 70w rms to power them with.

Later,
