Give me your opinion of my amp speaker selection
Give me your opinion of my amp speaker selection
I have a 2003 Regular Cab truck, currently has the 6 disc changer and premium sound. My plan is to use the factory deck, add an amp, Alpine MRP-F550 (4 channel) and use 4 type R Alpine speakers (2 in door, 2 right behind seat). I do have a few questions though,
1. what would be the best 4 channel LOC to use, I am leaning toward the Navone piece right now, the Schosche seems a little cheap - just from looking at it.
2. would I be better off installing component speakers in the doors instead of using 2-ways all the way around. All adivce will be appreciated
3. I have researched on here and on Schoches website on what fowrd and reverse harness to use so I do not butcher my factory harness if I ever want to go back to stock. What part numbers do I need for a 2003, is it a FD16b (for 98' and up) or a FD23b (for '03 and up)? Looking on here it seems that the FD23b is for 04 and up trucks? I know the reverse harness is the same part number with a r in there - I just do not know which is correct for my truck.

You need a FD16b and a FD16rb.
