Is a Kicker ZX400.1 enough power for a JL 12w6v2 wired parallel 2 ohm in a sealed 1.25 box ? It is rated at 400 watts @ a 2 ohms. My understanding is that JL 12w6v2's are power hungry and perform/sound better with more power than less. If not, any ideas on a better amp for this setup ?
I have 4 gauge power and grounds.
My front Polk Audio Momo front 6.5s and rear db571s 5x7s are powered by a JL 300.4. Hu is an Alpine 9885.

how do they sound overall mainly wondering bout the highs

 

They sound great overall. Very clear and crisp. Highs take a little getting used to as compared to previous stock speakers. The drivers sound incredible also. Need to sound deaden the doors though, they are vibrating alot.

 

400 wrms would work great for a W6v2

 

whats the difference in the highs are the really harsh or just really clear and loud also how much power do you have going to them

 

Really loud and clear. Clear being the main difference to stock. It is really amazing to be able to turn it up very loud and still be clear. The JL 300.4 is running 75 wrms x 4.
