Amp hook up questions

I am planning my system upgrade and have a couple of questions about wiring paths and components. First I will give an overview of my short term and master plan.

Short term -
Sub Stage
1-10" Kenwood sub in a supercrewsound box (could not resist the 45.00 price on the sub) -
1-300 watt Precision Power 2 channel bridged to run sub.

4-Parts express 5.00 special door speakers from partsexpress (Thanks styxnpicks) - Delivering today

2 or 4 channel amp for door speakers - undetermined at this point.

Rammat all doors and rear wall

Longer term -

Rainbow comps for front stage

JL Cleansweep or Rockford Fosgate 360.1

I want to maintain the stock head unit because I park my truck outside and do not want to be a target. I would rather have someone break into my neighbors Honda (Which has been stolen a couple of times)

Questions -

I am looking at 2 options for amp config. both are listed below-

1. Channel sources for 2 channel amp to front and bridged 2 channel to rear - What is the best way to get low level sources to front stage and sub stage while maintaining factory H/U power to rears? LOC the front channel and use Y-adapter?

2. Channel sources for 4 channel amp to all 4 doors and Bridged 2 channel for sub - LOC both channels and Y-adapter the rear?

I looked at the clean sweep and it only has 2 in and 2 out. The 360.1 has more ins and outs but I was wondering if I go with 4 in can I get 5 out for the sub or 2 in and 3 out for sub?

What is the best place to buy amp hook up kit, parts, interconnects etc...

Sorry for the long post but this will be my first install and want a clear plan before tearing my truck apart.

By rear do you mean subwoofer?? If so then this way will work good. One LOC on the two front channels of the HU, Y splitters right out of the LOC, and signal to the front stage amp and sub amp.

2. Channel sources for 4 channel amp to all 4 doors and Bridged 2 channel for sub - LOC both channels and Y-adapter the rear?
Correct....LOC on the front and rear channels of the HU, then Y splitters on either the front or rear LOC to get signal to the sub. Personally I would stick them on the front-reason for this is if you tend to fade your sound to the front for a better soundstage, then your sub amp will be getting a stronger signal.

Not sure what yor saying here exactley. If you go with something like the 360.1 you can skip the LOCs....Run wire from your HU to the 3sixty's High Level Front, Rear, and you can run wire from on of your front channels to the sub input.......then on the other side of the 3sixty you have front, rear, and sub RCA outputs.

What is the best place to buy amp hook up kit, parts, interconnects etc...

You have answered every question to a "T".

Do you have a recommendation for picking up a clean sweep or 360.1?

I appreciate you help. I am sure I will have more questions as this thing gets rolling.

Personally, Ive always favored the 360s over the Cleansweeps, just by technical specs alone. As far as personal experience with either one, I dont have any really as Im not much for stock integration, but if I had to go out and buy one or the other it would be the Rockford unit.

No problem

One more question. If I just hook up the sub amp at first how can I get a signal with keeping head unit power to existing front and rear channels?

LOC. tap into wire not cut it.

I personally always use FL and RR. Because if its faded/balanced front or back, left or right you still have a sub.

RF 3SIXTY.1 FTW!!! I love mine. I dont know what I would do without it. The bluetooth controls are sweet. I just take my laptop with me wherever and if its not sounding right i just change it on the go and then store it to my HDD.

I just want to be clear. Just connect both the speaker and the LOC from the same lead and let it drive both?

What LOC do you recommend? I see them for $4.00-$5.00 to $20.00.

Now to get a single 10" box.

Yes, all you have to do is tap the LOC inputs to the corresponding (+ and -) speaker wires. The speakers and LOC will both recieve signal.

Cant really recommend a good LOC, dont use them much. Ive used Metra and PAX I think was the brand, with no problems at all though, just cheaper 12ish dollar ones...

Scosche has a 4 channel LOC that has good reviews $20 from Crutchfield. I just picked one up from my local walmart for $18.

The Install Electronics made by RF (get it at BBy) is a good unit. Never had a problem with those. Prefer those WAY over the metra units. (and im a metra nut!)

For a 4 ch LOC i recommend the Peripheral Piece. (also at BBy) It is one of the best. Can handle a true 80W per channel. Uses ceramic parts and can be interfaced with any type of spk wire. Hi-level/Low-Level/Balanced/Common... etc.
