New System ??'s

OK, i am getting a new toyota tundra and I need to know some things about systems, I am asking yall guys instead of a toyota place because I like this forum a lot better and will learn alot more. I am getting a Pioneer 7900 Headunit ( http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...0&i=130DEHP790 ) that has the built in bluetooth. Please comment if you have heard about these or if you know if they are good or not. I am going to get 2 Kicker 8" CVR's because 8" are the only subs that will fit in the new truck. ( http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...%22+cvr&tp=111 ) I dont know anything about 2 ohms or 4 ohms so I dont know which to get or which amps to look for or anything. I want to get a Kicker amp either a 2 channel or the mono one. Please help me figure out like what kind of wattage I am looking at with either 2 or 4 ohms..please and thank you

I've heard nothing but good things from the 7900, I haven't installed 1, but like I said, sounds good
For them 8's, I would pair it up with the Kicker 400.1 it = Power (watts RMS into 2 ohms x channels) 400 x 2, these amps are underrated, my 400.1 listed 430 something on the birth certificate..When you wire the subs, wire them for a 4 ohm load, so that when you get the 2 hooked up, the load will be 2 ohms=max output outta the 400.1

here's for the 2..

Good luck with your install/purchases

What he means is since they are dual voice coil subs, you will need to get the dual 2ohm subs and series wire the voice coils and then parrallel the subs together to present a 2 ohm load on the amp. I hope that makes a little more sense, and if it doesnt, feel free to hit me up on email.

Good luck,
Devildog101

P.S. Nice diagram DRJ!

DEH 7900BT is a BAD *****. Had i went with a single din radio it would have either been the Alpine 9887 or Pioneer 7900. The BT is sick and has great cancellation to avoid echoes. Full speed Ipod. And SIMPLE to use. SLICK UNIT!!!

400.1 = Power and quality
