Alpine PDX's in 2005 Scab

Well, I finally managed to put a gallery together. There are 3 photo sets that I uploaded:

1. Big 3 (4) upgrade with a custom billet hold down for an Optima Yellow Top.
2. Amp mounting boards with X-overs etc. Dynamating in/out of front doors, and mounting of Rainbows.
3. Alpine IVA w205 in dash with Oznium diode rocker switches that remotely control the amps and 'black box'.

Here's a link to my gallery..I hope the photos are useful. I did the entire install using this forum and the relevant searches.

javascript:openCode('gallery.cfm?num=10819','remot e')

Thanks to all who post here.

Alpine PDX install Gallery - correct link

Sorry, in the previous post I pasted the wrong link, the following should be correct. Check it out if you want to see a complete install of 2 Alpine PDX amps, an Alpine IVA W205 Headunit, and a Big 3 (4) wiring upgrade. I tried to annotate the photos as needed. Sorry for the wrong link above..

Thanks to everyone on the forum. Reading Bartak threads helped a lot on the install. I only had to ask a couple of stupid questions:

1. Is it OK to route 12G speaker wires to the right front stage in the same sill channel as the + power wire. The resounding answer was yes.
2. Was the 300Amp fuse necessary in the Big 4 upgrade between the alternator and the Yellow Top? I didn't pick this up in my reading of the forum. Again, a lot of you came through with a resounding YES on this one.

I wanted to go with Rainbow Vanadiums but when my budget became close to being max'ed out, I needed to make some compromises....so far I'm really happy with the system. I didn't realized the expense of the wire (even though I bought all of it from KnuKonceptz), and the Dynamat was outrageous. I'm truly glad I did the Dynamat once the metal scratches on the backs of my hands healed! On the up side, the cab is a lot quieter (now I want to Dynamat the rear doors), and I could probably have kept my Magnaflow which was my 1st mod and the only one that my wife rejected....I now have a SIDO baffle that is a little quieter than the Maggie that I like (an exhaust shop tells me its off of a bow tie type vehicle )...
