My JL 300/4 went out. What should I buy to replace it?? Running Focal K2P fronts and Focal 165's in the back.

How did the 300/4 work on that setup? If you liked it, go ahead with another one. Dont drop a company because of one amp.

Either way, what are you doing with the dead jl?

This is the second one I've had problems with. Just wondering if there was something out there comparable. I don't know what I'm doing with the bad amp. I really like my JL stuff, maybe I've just had a bad streak of luck??

But I love Rockford Fosgate amps i have one and so does my brother i have a 600/2 and he has a 1200/1 good stuff man! mines been working for over 2 yrs now and his like a year but his tends to overheat sometimes after about an hour or so. Mine only once with my two 12s with like rap after an hour with it at 52/62 volume

Arc audio... the new foose series is awesome and really doesn't have a high price tag either.... i had a JL 500/5 and a front channel went out on me so i replaced it with an Arc Audio KS900.6 (60x4 @ 4 ohm AND 450x1 @ 4ohm bridged) and wow... i'm just blown away.... Arc is going to be my #1 amplifier brand from now on.... also, the Arc Audio is very easy to go active with your system if your into that kinda stuff... and the Arc doesn't have all the crossover *crap* (in my opinion) the JL amps have..... just my 3 cents.

IF you have already went through two of them, are you sure its not something with the install/current setup instead of a problem with the amps.

As much as I dislike JL, I will admit they make a damn solid product, and there is no reason you should have had two Slash series go out on you for no good reason. Granted it could happen, but I dont really see it with JL.

Just something to think about...wouldnt be much fun to spend money on another amp only to have the same thing happen again.
