I've noticed for the short time that I have been apart of this site that you two a couple others are very knowledgable about this whole audio thing and are more than willing to help people out when they need it. So I was wondering if you could do much of the same for me that you have done for Dallasstars10 (spelling?)? Just want a list with links of what I need to install my system. Here is my list of what I have:
1 - JL Audio 250/1 amp
1 - JL Audio 300/4 amp
1 - stealthbox w/ 10" JL Audio sub wired to 250 amp
1 - pair of JL Audio XR650-CSi components wired to 300 amp
1 - pair of JL Audio TR570-CXi coaxial wired to headunit
1 - Kenwood X591 Headunit
1 - Kenwood KCA-IP500 iPod connection
Looking for everything I need to make connections between everything. Sorry if this is an inconvenience, it is just a great way to learn for the future.
Thanks in advance

What's your goal, music types, and budget? There are other manufactures out there besides JL that make great stuff at better prices. Not bashing your setup, it looks great just it's like buying a Mercedes when a Volkswagen is just as good but saves you cash and gets you there just fine.

I apologize for not being clear in what I was looking for. I guess what I was looking for was info on what I needed to hook up my system. As far as the wiring (guage, brand, feet), fuse block (brand, fuse amps), distribution block (brand, size) and everything else involved with wiring up the system was what I meant to ask you. I already have all the stuff that I mentioned. As far as music type goes that I listen to, that would be 75% rock (Korn, mudvayne, etc.) and 25% hip hop or rap. Just out of curiosity what brands were you talking about so I know for future reference. Again sorry for not being more clear. Thanks for you prompt response.

If your not going to be upgrading power wise, you can save on power wire some and should be able to go with 4 gauge main wire instead of 1/0.
If your needing dist. blocks for a dual amp kit, I still think these Kicker kits are a he!! of a buy for what you get.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Kicker-PKD4-Car-...QQcmdZViewItem
Comes with all the power wire you should need, fuse holder, dist. blocks, and fuse. The only other thing you need is speaker and RCA wires and possibly some more turn on wire.
For RCA's I think these are a hell of a buy too..
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...?prodID=KLA-5M Dont let the 8 dollar price fool you. They are nice RCAs and are more than enough for the job.
I assume you are going to bridge the 300/4 on the components?? If so you will only need to use the front inputs on that amp. So you will only need ONE pair of RCAs for the 300/4 and one pair for the 250/1. So two pairs of RCAs total and thats all.
For speaker wire you will be fine with 16 gauge all around, go with this stuff-

Im not sure where you plan to mount the amps, just make sure you buy MORE than enough of what you need. Get some string or wire and kind of lay it out where you plan to run the wire so you can get a guestimate of how much you need, then add at least 10 feet. You can never have enough speaker wire anyway
You might also want to order some extra turn on wire. The Kicker kit comes with 15ish feet of turn on, which may or may not be enough for you.
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...prodID=KOL18BL
Depends if you want to run just one turn on wire from the HU to the amps, or separate ones so you can have a switch on them and turn each amp on or off at will.
Should be about it

Is what I have so far in the picture correct? If not what is wrong?
1.) How do I hook up the remote wire(s) to the amps?
2.) How do I hook up the rear coaxial to the HU?
3.) How do I hook up the amp to the Crossovers? Then from the Crossovers to the front components? Is there anything that I have forgotten?
4.) How do I bridge my amp? Should I do that with these components?
5.) How do you hook up the tweeters up front?

If Im following your drawing right it looks great...little small for me to read it and see it exactley though...
You have a couple options here. You can....
1) Run one turn on wire from the HU to one of the amps turn on, then from that amps turn on to the other amps turn on.
2) you can run separate wires from the HU to each amps turn on input and put a switch on the wires somwhere where it is easy to get at. By doing this you have the option to turn the amps on or off separate from one another. Kind of a nice thing to have, I do it on my vehicles.
All you need to do is hook them up to the stock speaker wiring. You will have to splice into the stock wiring right at your speakers harness, and run a little extra wire from there to your new speakers with the correct type of terminal for your speakers. You could also try cutting the factory plug off and crimping your connector on the stock wire, but the stock wiring is usually a little short, so its easier just to strip a little insulation off the stock wire to splice a little more wire on.
No need to mess with running new wires or anything.
Your crossover will have mulitple places to connect wires. The first one is the INPUT. Simply run your speaker wire from the amps outputs to the INPUT on the crossover. Next, there will be TWEETER and WOOFER terminals on the crossover. Run speaker wire from the tweeter outputs to the tweeter, and the woofer outputs to your woofer. Easy as that.
Since you have a 4 channel and are only running a set of components off them then yes I would bridge it. More power, plus you will be using all your amp has to offer. HOWEVER, you will need to be very carfull with the gain since you will be sending roughly DOUBLE the amount of power the speakers are rated for.
If your paraniod and want to for sure be on the safe side, you can wire the components just to the front ouputs on the amp, which would be a waste of the rear channels, but you wont have all that power that might fry your speakers if you go volume happy.
Maybe it would be a good idea to run the components off the front 2 channels of the amp only for awhile untill you get a little more experience and know what to listen for in a stressing speaker and such, THEN you could go ahead and bridge them on the amp for some more powa!

Wow I think impact and bartak nailed it head on. If I can offer some advice, the rca's that bartak recommended include a remote turn on wire. However its a POS, resulting in my post below
. If you head over to the CA.com forums theres a guy by the name of Frito that sells a spool of remote turn on wire for $1, with shipping at around 5, so order up a lot!

Thank you guys for all your help. You completely answered everything I have. I just want to make sure I do it right so I don't ruin anything. I may have some questions along the way but at least I know where to get my answers. You guys rock.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
