Newb on Amps

I am going to be putting in 2 10' subs. I haven't decided which subs but my question is what kind of amp do you use? I have no clue what ohms or w/e those are and the difference between 2/4 ohm.

Thanks

When you figure out what speakers you want tell us the model and then we can work out the correct amp with you.

Here's a good website to read up on ohms and all that:

It will depend on your subs. Different Voice Coil configurations can be wired for difference final impedences (measured in Ohms).

One is not any better than the other, its just a matter of matching the final impedance load of your subwoofers to an acceptable impedance that your amp can handle. And making sure the amp can put out the power you want at that impedence.
