New amp rack

I am finally getting time to work on installing all this crap I got collecting dust around here. So my project is to install 3 new amps. US AMPS XT1006.4, XT1600.2, and a Eclipse EA2000 for my center channel. Yes the Eclipse is over kill by a long shot but it was a good deal on ebay.

In my pic i took a sheet of 3/4" MDF and cut it 20" x 52" to use max wall width. Using my router a beveled the sides 45 degrees and then painted it with black hammered paint. Looks pretty sweet if I may say so.

The amps are now mounted on the top of the board and the power wires, distro, and fuse blocks will be below the amps. I am working on a nice MDF speaker box for my BM12's. I'll take pics and post them as I go in the speaker forum.

I just finished assembling my new sub box. Monstrosity for sure, but damn is it pretty. I'm painting it now so it's tiger striped a bit atm. I'll post that over in the sub forums.

I'll be following this thread b/c this is how I'm going to mount my amps, crossovers, distros...etc. How tall are the amps and do you foresee any clearance issues?

Yea there is some clearance issues but I figured out a way around that.

Say did you get the LMI seat lift? If so there is a fairly easy solution that will give you like 2 more inches of clearance behind the seat. I'll get pics in a few.

here's a update of the amp rack installed. Power wires and all that will be installed over the next few days. I had to order some longer RCA cables hopefully they will be here wednesday.

Using the LMI seat lift you can raise the back rest up along with the base. I discovered this on accident since the LMI instructions are crap. This creates a problem though cause your seat back will want to tip forward on hard stops.

Again necessity is the mother of invention and I made a S bracket that twist to lock the seat in place.

Patent Pending and all that jazz.

Amp board looks great. Really good. All you need are some Germs. I think I will send you some out today.

Thanks Doug. Germs would be a good addition! Idiot me ordered some new RCA cables last night from knu and forgot to order the speaker wire. Wal-mart had some monster cable speaker wire which will have to work for me.

I did get the new 0 gauge wire ran and ready to connect to the battery and new distro block. My battery wiring is a cluster though with my offroad lights. I'll clean that up later though.

I do have the LMI lift. If I have clearance issues I'll keep your solution in mind. How much will I owe you for the patented use?
