VERY Nice work Impact! Hopefully, I can get it in gear this weekend and get mine done. I've got a feeling mine is going to look a lot like yours! Thanks for the roadmap.

Good stuff.

I have been considering installing my amps in the bed of the truck, but now it looks like it's possible to install them behind the rear seats.

I've got a couple questions, there is enough clearance (stock) to allow ventilation of the amps between the rear seat and the back sheet metal? Did you remove the most inner sheet metal first to get that clearance? Did you have to use the S-bracket to get that clearance?

I'm using zapco competition amps, so I need at least 1/2" of available space for the fans to operate sufficiently with some external fans, so that is my primary concern.

Since my amps are mounted high up I had to make that bracket. I could of mounted them lower and maybe got away with it but I didn't much care for the tight fit behind the seat.

I like this setup with the more air space plus the seat is actually together just like it was without the seat lift. Thing is if you use the seat lift you'll have to mount the back exactly like I did.

I am considering remaking my amp rack to 2 layers so I can hide my wires and just have the amps visible. Must buy some gromits and more paint though. Might get fancy this time too and add some cooling.

Be a good time to add some edead back there. That stuff is prettier than dynamat with all the logo crap gone.

That would be nice...but can you afford to go any thicker back there?
That is what I had originally planned to do, but there was no way I would have been able to fit another 3/4" for the wood, plus whatever else for the wiring and such.
I though your seat back was already moved away from the wall...wouldnt double layers make you have to move the seat back out even more

Funny I went outside to measure to see if I could do this and I ended up grabbing the chain saw and cut down a tree in front of the house. lol

You don't necessarily need anymore room... you can install the "cover" where the amps are recessed into it. Then, when you take down the back seat, you just see the tops of the amps sticking out. All the wires are still hidden.

Grandiose idea. The recessed in look is very cool also

In addition, if you leave about 1/4" all away around the amp, you can put some neon behind the wood and it would create an illuminated ring around the amp.

Uggh now I'm just giving away all of my own ideas
