Have you always had this problem, or has it just started to come about?

A 250 watt amp should not pull enough current to cause problems with a good electrical system, let along enough that your electrical system cant even supply it and makes it shut off.

A cap wont fix a thing...caps are overrated

I think I would be looking at something with your electrical system first. How old is your battery? Alternator ok? Cables?

I disagree somewhat. I had a similar set up pushing a single 5 channel amp, and every time the subs hit hard...the lights would dim. Got a Digital Cap and it fixed the problem. The reason why your light is on is b/c you are draining the battery faster than the alternator can charge it thus you are running on lower voltage which causes your light to come one.

That being said, you could be having just an alternator problem or even just a bad battery.

Run your truck to Autozone and they can test both of them for you.

But I wouldn't discount a cap.
