To fuse or not to fuse...

Is it necessary to use an in-line fuse if you have a fused distribution block at the amps?

YES!

Even though you have fuses at the D-block, that only protects if you get a short on those little runs of wire from the D-block to the amps.

You still need a fuse at the battery to protect from a shorting of the wire from the D-block to the battery, which is much more likely to short out than the wires from the Dblock to the amp.

I would fuse EVERYTHING after seeing this... don't be another burned up statistic.

Always use in-line fuses unless you like car fires...
