The amp wiring kit I bought comes with one RCA cable but my HU has two outputs. I am assuming I should use both outputs right? I will just have to pick up another RCA cable if so.

I guess I could just use the female quick connects but my speakers have two different sizes and the only females I have been able to find are .250

Thatd work if you cant find any of the smaller female disconnects.
I was thinking I had some of the smaller ones that I woulda gave you, but I just looked and I cant find them. Maybe I used them on something...

What outputs are on your HU? Front and Rear, Front and Sub???
What do you have for amp/s?

I have a 5 channel amp, the HU RCA outputs say front and rear only I think.

Aright, your going to need 2 sets of RCAs then.

One from the front HU ouputs to the Front inputs on the amp, and same for the rears on the HU and on the amp.

Then, for the 5th channel to get signal, you will probably have to use a pair of RCA splitter and hook them to your front RCAs. You should be able to get Y splitters with 2 male ends, and one female end; plug one male end into the front inputs right and the other end into the sub inputs right, then do the other with the left side of the front/sub inputs. Then plug the two female ends into the RCA cord you have running to the HUs front inputs.

easy, use rca splitters on the front rca outs to send a stereo signal to the 4 channel amp and a single set of rca's to the mono sub amp from the sub output.

thanks for the great advice and help!

So I would just put the splitter near the amp end? So I'll need to get two sets of splitters then? I guess I'm not done shopping after all:o

Glad you said that because I bought them about an hour ago

As far as splitters I'm assuming any will do as long as they have 24k tips? I want to get this stuff in hand before the weekend and getting this stuff online just delays my fun!

yes, any set will do as long as they're shielded and have either 24k gold or nickel connectors. Gold = signal transfer / nickel = noise rejection= better sound.

Looks like JMT has answered most of your questions correctly guys.

Biteyahard, Just plug the two male ends of the splitters right into the amp. Yes you will need two sets.
