Amplifier in center console?

Amplifier in center console?
I have a 00 supercab with a centerconsole. if i lift up a tray there is a ton of room for my amplifier down there. Would this be an alright place to mount it?
has anyone done it?

As long as your amp doesnt get real hot.
My buddy has a Rockford Punch series in the console of his 93, and it will overheat at time. But, that thing just BARELY fits in there, plus those amps run HOT. He ended up sticking a fan in there and ,as far as I know, hasnt had any problem...
