Opinions needed

Hey all one of my roommates at the townhouse has a Kenwood KAC-818 mono power amplifier that he isnt using and has said hed would sell it to me. I currently own a 2003 regular cab f-150 and have already purchased a deck(pioneer deh-4900iB) and some infinity speakers. I would like to run a single sub behind the bench seat, either a 10" or 12." Both of those speakers would work but they are too deep for your truck if I recall correctly. I think 6.0 inches is the max without a seat lift. I could be wrong though.

I just installed the TS-W301R in my 87 reg cab. Installed it in a wedge sub box i bought. I have captains chairs though and I have the sub in the middle behind the console, if I put it behind one of the seats it was a really tight fit, I dont know if your truck has any more space back there. I am running a bridged pioneer 2 channel amp. Its rated at 150x1 rms. Doesnt sound to bad.

Its a budget sub, all depends on how much bass you want. Its enough bass for me. But if you like to be heard 1/4 mile, its not the right setup for u.

That sub is only rated at 150rms also. Ur amp is 2 ohm stable and will put out 300 watts to one channel. You could probly go ahead and spend a few more bucks and get a more powerful sub, its up to u.

Well im definitely not looking for anything obnoxiously loud. I just want my bass designated purely too a sub so i dont blow my speakers and can get a similar sound. Id be up to buying a sub a little more expensive if its worth it got any recommendations based on the amp id be using?

That amp will work nicely on that 12" sub. You could even get two of those subs if you wanted and be golden.
Should be able to fit 1ish cu ft. for a box back there too easily enough (sub calls for 1-2 cu. ft. sealed)

Haha, well thank you very much

Just dont be crazy with the gain ****. The amp is 200wrms and the sub is only 150, which isnt a lot of difference, but with something like that, and that small to begin with, to high of gains and getting happy with the volume **** could be bad.

Set your gain with a DMM and your good
