Right amp for Subs

The subs are not my preference, but everyone is diff. I'd spend the money and go with a better amplifier though. The subs are 350 RMS, so find a amp that will produce atleast 250RMS (TRUE) The JBL isn't going to put out the wattage that it states. Try to google and get the bench tests from it. You will see the diff. I have always been told a good amplifier will cost you approx. $1.00 per watt and it will be TRUE WATTAGE and poss. under rated. Look at the JL Audio, Kicker, Hi-Fonics, and other big name amplifiers out there winning comps. They are more money, but produce TRUE power. The JBL is listed as 580 Watts @ 2ohms, but prob. only will produce 50% of that power which will be under powering your subs a lot. For the price of that amplifier, you can get yourself a very nice Kicker Amp and get more power and actually LESS money. Check out these Kicker Amplifiers. These are TRUE wattage also.

KICKER KX450.2 (Approx. $150)
(BEST IMO) KICKER KX600.1 (Around $150-$200)

Check them out and let me know if you need ne thing else.

I am afraid I am going to have to disagree with JT on this one. JBL makes a fine amp. Great bang for the buck. I think both of those amps would work well. 265 watts to a sub is plenty for a lot of people. I think it would make for a nice little upgrade.

ok thx for the help, so the jbl multy channel amp is good then? An about the subs wich amp would be the best, the one that will be able to use the full power of the subs. The KICKER KX600.1 looks pretty good will it be enough to use the full potential of the subs. And Can you recomend me a good wiring kit for the amps.

Amps...

Deconder may have more info on the JBl. I personally have never heard one powering ne thing, just what I read. As far as wiring kit, I usually just buy my own 4Ga. Wire for Power/Ground, 12Ga. Remote Wire, 8Ga. Speaker Wire.
I do have an inline 150Amp Fuse, but got it from Sound Citation here locally.

Your kit all depends on your power.

JBL amps are good amps. I've got 3 and they all work great. 2 GTO and a power. I think JT listed the ones I wouldn't go with. Course I've never been a kicker fan in the least.

You bought 3 of those shallow pioneers? 350w x3 = 1050 so you'll probably want more like a 1000-1200w amp that can handle a 1 ohm load depending how you wire it. Check this site out it has a excellent explanation on wiring speakers to get different ohm ratings.

I have heard good things about hifonics. Look at this one:

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14803

and far as wiring kits go www.knukonceptz.com or stinger products off ebay. Running that much power your going to want to run some 0 gauge wire from the battery to a 0-4 distro block.
