Powering the Germs?

I am debating between two options for power to my new Germs.

Should I run my Bridged PG Tantrum 600.4 to them providing (according to the PG website) 300X2 or should I run my new US Amps MD22 to them, which would be 200X2. I am leaning toward the Tantrum bridged so that I can use the US Amps on my JL Sub.

Thoughts?

You will not see a huge increase in level from 200 to 300 watts. Maybe 1.5 db but, that might be noticable. I think either amp will work well.

Agreed. I will likely go this route because the MD22 can push my sub well where the PG wouldn't do such a great job.

Use the PG and rather than bridging it, take advantage of the biamp capabilities.

So running each driver with 75 watts would be better than running 300 watts to the set? I have heard that bridging does reduce SQ some.

yessir. Then youll also have more independant control of the drivers. Often referred to as "the easy/cheap active setup".
