Amplifier Ground?

Exclamation Amplifier Ground?

where is your amp grounded? ( target vehicle 04 f150 Screw)

About 12" from my amp on the back wall of the cab.

dont know if they moved the jack in the new f150s or where the 6 CD changers are. those studs make good grounds.

04 screw here - I grounded to where the seatbelt is attached, good ground.
Dont ground to where it is spot welded. It might work but not the best....

I usually ground amps to one of the bolts holding the SCrew's rear seat down. A monster sized steel bolt like that makes an excellent grounding point, especially for multiple or 1200W plus amps.

Once installed, be sure to double check your ground cable with an ohm meter. Sometimes paint under your lug or even alloy bolts will cause problems.

Screwed the stud from my JL Audio wiring kit right in the hole where the jack was...worked perfectly and no new holes in the truck.
