Where to run power wire

I have a 97 F-150. Is there a spot where I can run the power wire through the firewall, without drilling?

Hello!
In my '99' I ran my power wire through a little grommet in the floor. If you pop off the passengers side sill plate and look at the floor up around the kick panel area, you will see a grommet about the side of a half dollar.
Works nicely for me-You can run the power wire from the battery down ontop of inner fenderwell, then right back to the grommet. Mine is tied on to the frame some too. Comes in right under the sill plate where you can run it to the back sight unseen

Something to look at.

Do you guys typically put the power wires in a loom to keep from eventually shorting out?

thanks

YES! Its ALWAYS a good idea to have power wires covered. Most people end the loom once they get inside the cab, which is usually fine. Personally, I like to cover the wires all the way to the amp-you never know what could wear through an uncovered wire.

Extra protection is a good thing....hehe.
