Put my amps in today.
That seat bottom removal was a pain, anyone know why Ford put 3 bolts up through and then the one down through with about 2 inches of threads exposed underneath. I live where they love to spread salt and calcium in the winter, things rust quickly.
Anyhow I ran my wires under the carpet above the trans tunnel then routed between the plastic vent and inside seat bracket then back close to the Trans tunnel and pulled them up behind the trim piece I removed at the base of the dash. (I have the console, but it looks like the dash is made the same either way) Will get a few pics tomorrow, it was getting dark. As for power I used the power cable I had for my last truck, 4ga inside a sheath of either 1/2 or 5/8 heater hose. The last truck i ran it under the truck and brough it up though the floor in the rear of the cab. I didn't want to drill through both layers of that frame so I started looking around and found a drain plug at the base of the door post in the front on the passengers side. I popped it out and cut a hole in it and ran my cable up through it and back under the step plate. I left part or the cable sheathed and ran it down the inner fender and tied it fast to the body mount underneath. Again maybe a few pics tomorrow.
