Which wiring harness is needed?

I have a 97 Expedition w/ the dreaded "Premium" system. I want to install a pioneer HU.

Heres my problem:
HU runs, but no sound from speakers (this I assume is the factory Amp preventing this)

What Bypass factory wiring harness do I need?
If I install a new amp in Subwoofers do I need a certain type of harness?
Where do I ground the HU in the dash area?
Thanks,JW

The issue you are having is due to the Amps which are included with the Premium system. Based on my experience ( of this past weekend ) installing a JVC HU in my 97 Expy using the Scosche wiring adapter and face-plate I purchased at the local Wally World for less than $20 total. WHAT WORKED FOR ME was.. the JVC HU has a Blue w/White Stripe that is used to power the AMP OR power antenna. This HAD TO BE connected to the Blue w/ White Stripe wire in the wiring harness adapter which powers up the AMP --> which kicks in the speakers. In the end I even went back and cut off ALL of the crap left over ( the other two other wiring harness connectors that I did not need ). Once these last two wires were connect TADA! I didn't have to purchase any "adapter" or anything. It was a little "stressful" but I'm sure you can work thru it just as I did. Good Luck.
