If someone is willing to install a system that, when combined with normal functions like turning on headlights, creates demands enough to "outdraw" the alternator's capabilities, then they should be willing to fork over the bucks to alleviate any such thing from happening by having an alternator with the proper capabilities. You can install capacitors and deep cell batteries and make a difference in one way or another, but I believe the answer lies in the alternator and proper cabling and connections. This is not rocket science, but people seem to be flabbergasted to learn that a vehicle's electrical system does have limits, and if you exceed those in some way, SH*T happens, either quickly or eventually.

'Tis true

I used 1/0 cable. Got it from weldingsupply.com, it's not super fancy but works just as good and is only $1.30 per foot.

I do most of my car stereo wiring shopping at http://knukonceptz.com They have excellent product, prices and CS. I have not really found anything that is comparable to them in all 3.

I put my inline fuse in last night and it helped my dimming issue a little bit somehow. I do have a question on the upgrade of the ground wire. Should I increase the guage of the wire that goes to the fire wall from the negative battery post, or the wire that attaches to the frame behind the right front tire?

As a side note the dimming is just barely noticeable but I happen to be one of those people that notices everything!

Upgrade all your ground cables to match the size of your power cables. All of your power cables should be the same size as well. The ideal is to match the current flow between all your cables. That's what a big 3 upgrade is. Look in my gallery and you can see mine.

brypink........By the looks of it you did away with the ground that goes to the firewall and just upgraded the one that goes to the alternator and the one that goes to the frame.......right?

No, if you look closely you can see the ground going to the firewall.
