First of all there are reasons that people buy that overpriced japanese crap. Cause it is better than the american crap. YOu could not pay me to take any of those amps off of your hands. And in no way would I ever put one in the dash. Now let talk about your numbers. Luke warm at 2 ohms? Get real I run my subs amp at 2 ohms, and yeah luke warm when I turn it on, hot enough to burn your hand when played at a moderate volume for a moderate legnth of time, say an hour. OMG expensive. $84 for an amp on ebay. Please contribute if you have something useful and informative to say, but please refrain when you have no idea what is being discussed.

Sorry but ur the one who does not know what they are talking about JAPENESE CRAP is no good amp wise period SOUND QUALITY matters not price and looks so my info was informative and for me I will buy USA made any day because they care about sound quality. And another thing to top that off I said luke warm at 4 ohms not 2 ohms learn how to read carefully not skim the writing. I know my electronics and have for years and never said run amp behind dash at 2 ohms. Boy I sure do stand corrected here and by the way when I get my system in why don't you mosey on down and we will see whos system sounds better SOUND wise clarity not BOOMY crap to rattle windows and wake neighbors. Any one who pays 84 bucks for an amp on ebay is buying a piece of trash, both of my amps ran me 700 bucks, a 4 channel 70 watts a channel @ 4ohms and pure 70 watts and a Mono to push 600 watts to subs. Above all CLARITY and CRYSTAL CLEAR beats LOUD MUDDY BOOMY CRAP any day.

I yanked out my center cushion in the front seat and mounted my IVA-d310 brain. Perfect. Doesnt get much more stealth and the cushion pops right back into place.

You could put a decent sized amp in there.

What front seat do you have?

I have a console.

I'm shocked this isn't more common. Seemed as though a lot of people talked about it in the past.

Where do you live? My system is as clear as it gets, and yes I have proof of that with a perfect 40 on the RTA. I have well over $5K into my system and I do compete with it in the SQ class. My system is not "LOUD MUDDY BOOMY CRAP" Every part of my system has been well planned out from the spreakers to the type of wiring used. There has been many, many hours spent using computers to image the system properly. Clipping points of the deck, sound processors, and amps all matching. Natural frequencies of the speakers taken to determine crossover points. Delay of speakers calculated to focus sound to specific parts of the vehicle. Individual speakers equalized using both graphic and parametric eqs to account for variation between speakers. High output alternator with a capacitor to control voltage, alternator, battery, and power cable to the amps have all been replaced with 0AWG wire. There is not one single part of my system that has been overlooked. And yes I do all of the install work myself, cause I just dont trust anyone else to do it. Be careful who you call out in competition, you never know what the other guy has.

The best 2 amp makers in the world, hands down, are Krell and McItosh. Thats basic knowlege. Both US companies.

Real audio enthusiasts dont waste their time on car audio.

Anyway. Mount a small amp in the dash. It will be fine. A big amp running at 1 Ohms for a long time... Not a good idea in your dash.

Cool well its nice to know that some people plan out everything in advance as I do and you are correct I dont trust no one but my self for installs and like you i carefully plan everything and have for last 10 years as for where I live I am in North Carolina I do not compete due to SPL and lost enough of my hearing as is but I do do all my friends installs and like you I use top quality stuff wire, rca, the whole nine yards. Glad to see you put over 5G in your system mine is running at about that now, so as you said U never know what the other guy has.

It is nice to see that we are both getting to the same place, perfect SQ, just using different setups. Not suprising is that we probably use a lot of similar components. I just perfer Alpine and Kicker, they have always treated me well. As for rutherk1 comments about McIntosh, I agree 100% top of the line, just wish I could afford to run with it.
