I have a pheonix gold r 804 amp and i had it in my old car i dont know if some wires touched that shouldnt have but now when u give it any power the little red light comes on that says protected i was wondering if something inside the amp needs to be reset or something

 

Check for shorted speaker leads or disconnected speaker wires.

 

I tried it in my friends truck to it still didnt work

 

Make sure you have a good ground as well

 

Once you turn the little red light on, its 90% of the time too late to do anything, but check the date on your receipt
