Are Lanzar amplifiers any good? Based upon the low prices I have found I recognize that they aren't professional grade, but are they decent?
Does anyone have a Lanzar Vibe amp?

Basically the Vibe is a sub par amp at best. They are essentially throw away products meaning if they ever break it would cost more to repair. When dealing with amplifiers there are a few out there that you can get for cheap that will in fact give you more watts per dollar than even your top of the line amps. The difference comes with durability, quality of components used in the amp, how clean the amp reproduces sound, what features it may have, etc. My advice to you would be to go with an amp that is better built. What it boils down to is this.
$100 Vibe way over-rated saying it has 600 watts
$150 HiFonics, Rockford, JL Audio, Zapco, etc. rated at 50 watts RMS
However, if you placed both on a test bench and tested them you would find that they more than likely will be very close to the same power levels but the top brands will be much cleaner and less likely to have noise problems.
If you do decide to get a Lanzar the Opti series is actually a pretty decent product. Other than that I wouldn't touch anything else they make.

Thanks for the information. I'm looking to power a set of Orion P6.2 seperates and 2 10" MTX Thunder 4500s. Can you recommend a decent (low prices yet durable) 4 channel amp that I can use for this? I'd like to run at least 100 watts to the seperates and bridge the other 2 channels for the subs. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Being short on space is also an issue for mounting the amp.

What is your budget for an amp would be the biggest question. I could recommend amps all day but without knowing a ballpark figure it is tough to decide what is best for your budget. Give me a minimum and max you want to spend and I will tell you what would be a great product for the price and give you the most for your money. One other question I have would be this. Do you want full warranty? If you do you may wind up paying a few dollars extra but if you have trouble with the amp it will be more than worth buying from an authorized dealer.
Anyway, let me know a price point and I will be more than happy to help you select the best amp for the money. I may even be able to get you something through my distributors.

Just the amp at $400, but I would like to spend less if possible and maybe spend more on my seperates.

Okay then look to Hifonics, Rockford, US Amps, Zapco, Alpine, Xtant, MTX, Autotek, JL Audio, or JBL to name a few. There are also others out there that will satisfy what you are looking for. Just don't get caught up in ratings. None of the companies mentioned previously are in business to rip you off and all offer a helluva product that is reliable and provides almost identical power output on a dollar to dollar basis. In other words a $250 Rockford will give you very close to the same power output and cleanliness as any of the others. I will look around a second and try to find you something that would fit what you want to accomplish.
I really appreciate it. Feel free to respond here or email me at spyder207@excite.com if you find anything.

Ok, did a bit of looking and found you the Autotek MX800.4 on thezeb.com for 299.95 which give you 75x4 RMS @ 4 ohm (good clean power very dependable amp) this is going to give you roughly 300 watts on your subs and 150 watts total for your component set. You could even go with a dual amp combo such as the Autotek SX-2200R and SX-275. Both are 2 channel and rated 125x2 @ 4ohm and 75x2 @ 4ohm respectively. Go to www.thezeb.com and check out any of the brands I mentioned. Just remember what you spend is what you get. The good thing about thezeb is that they do have waranties offered since they are authorized dealers of the products they carry.
and just a footnote. While you are looking at thezeb website you should check out the CDT component sets. CDT offers a superb sounding and durable product at a killer price. Really great sounding comps that have the pricey competitors scared.
