Amp built in crossover vs comp crossover

I am a little new at this so I hope this is not a dumb question. I have a Audiobahn A600T amp 75 x 4ch rms (with built in crossovers). I am going to power Infinity Kappa componets in front and Infinity Kappa 5x7 in rear and I am not sure if I should use cross overs supplied with speakers or use the crossover built in to Amp. Can you use both?

Usually you use both. Its a bad idea to forego the included component crossover entirely becuase usually (hopefully!) the crossover has been optimited for phase and impedance differences between the 2 drivers. The amp crossover wont have those differences accounted for. Anyways, usually what you do is use the amp crossover as the hi pass and the component crossover to the speakers. Think of it as the amp fitlering out the low frequencies (Which your comp crossover wouldnt do) and the comp crossover as splitting whats left between the two speakers. Amp crossover should be set between 60 and 120 hertz to start with, then fine tune from there.

You will more than likley burn up the tweets if you try not running the comp crossovers along with the forementioned problems. I'd be looking into a seperate electronic crossover if you want to run the tweets without the supplied comp crossover.

Yes, use both. The crossover in your amp is NOT intended to take the place of your component set crossover network. The amp's crossover usually is adjustable to a single point to either pass low frequencies to a subwoofer or pass high frequencies to your "main" speakers, in your case Infinity components and Infinity 5x7s. The speakers have a network of pieces in a crossover network specifically designed for the drivers being used.
