also also i been hearing stuff about SSF - subsonic filters "Sub Sonic Filter - filters out those nasty lows that your sub can't produce in an enclosure!" and the kid mentioned your subs might get ruined if you didnt have this or ehh. what is it?

A Subaru, did you take a wrong turn at the Ford offramp???

Nope, still standing behind no rear fill at all with enough speakers/power on the front end. You are trying to push the image out over the hood and the rear fill just takes that affect away. Rear fill is only good for Dolby surround which is only on DVD movies.

Room is good when working with subs and there enclosures. You got room, get off you wallet and get 2 XXX's. I sure hope you can control yourself with the volume **** on a setup like this. You will be noticed and might make hanging on to it a challenge.

That is a good deal on the CDT's.

The Brutus has SSF. Yes you will want to look for this in a BASS amp. I believe most class D amps have this feature but make sure before you buy. Brutus also has the remote Bass EQ. Nice for listening to different types of music and being able to get the most out of it on the fly.

SSF is the lowest crossover point that will take you from whatever you set it at to 0 hz, usualy around 20hz down. Makes your bass run much more efficient.

All this gear is very high end to what you would normaly find at Tweeter or any other car in most neighborhoods for that matter. I feel you are on a better track than with all that JL, MB setup you were talking in the begining for around the same kind of money. Only problem is you said in the begining that you did not want comp quality stuff and that is what your looking at, still. Have you ever installed something like this? Are you going to have it done? It takes a bit of knowledge to get a system like this installed right. You should also figure on spending a couple hundred bucks on wire, fuses, circut breakers, power and speaker wire, etc. And that would be a low figure.

Good luck with whichever way you go.

-
about how much would they be man... already im at $943 with no subs... im sure they will be expensive as **** and as much as i want to get off my wallet i dont even know if it can handle that much if what im hearing about EACH 12"XXX being $375-400 shipped thats insane... :/ i dont want to believe them but i cant find any dealers to look at prices :/ but other than that... this proposal better than when we started? i love the prices i found on the things but those subs.. if they are really gonna be around 800 shipped thats kinda nuts... :/

This system would shake the block right?
