Question Question about bad amp?

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you experts over here would happen to know if its worth sending an amplifier out for repair(think it blew) or just get another? BTW, its a soundsteam 301. thanks!

The typical repair bill is in the neighborhood of $65-150 for small to medium size amps and $150-300+ for your monster amps. It really depends on what exactly is wrong with the amp. In most cases the power supply has trashed a few components and is easily restored if it lights up but goes into a protect mode then you more than likely toasted an output component. Again, depending on just how and what caused the failure the amp could possibly even be unrepairable. What I would suggest would be to get an estimate on the repair and then make your decision. You could be the exception to the rule and only have a bad solder joint and $25-35 repair bill. Anyway, that is a nice amp and worthy of repair but if you decide it isn't you could mail it to me I could always use it for parts down the road or repair it myself and sell it.
