Maybe.

Just thought I would give you as much info as you provided us..

Just teasing there. I couldn't resist. Before that question can be answered we really need to know what vehicle you are talking about. Does it have the premium sound system? Year/Make/Model of the vehicle? Give us more info and we should be able to help

So, if I were to say I had a '03 SCREW Lariat with the in-dash 6 Disc changer that would have an external amp? The stock HU has two plugs. From what I've read, one is for the speaker output leads and the other is for the AMP. No where's have i seen anything about it being a Premium system.

More than likely Tony, yours has the amp.

But you got it in the wrong order

The signal has to go through the amp, then to the speakers. So if it's anything like my '97, you'll have two rectangular connectors (I can't remember the pin count). One is grey one is black. One goes to your amp-> speakers, the other line is your power (2 wires), power control, dimmer, ground, etc.

This is what was behind the HU.

And this was the back of the HU

Crutchfield has the wire harness kit, and it is only one plug, so what's the other harness for?

Other bits of interesting info. Positive battery terminal has 2 leads on it. One runs to the alt. and the other appears to be a 8 Ga wire that has a fusible link and then runs into the upper firewall near the wiper cowel. Not sure what that is...maybe a line to the stock external Amp?

EDIT: OK i finally realize that it's a Visteon CD-6 unit. Specs have it for an 80W amp....not very much to work with here. SO is the extra plug for other non installed options like rear entertainment controls, cell phone interface, and the 12-disc jukebox?

Yeah I kind of figured yours would not be the same as mine.

My new HU had a plug like yours on the left in the pic that I had to splice a bunch of wires to.

I want to say that 8ga wire is your antenna, but I might be wrong on that. Can you post a pic of it?

I knew I should have taken pics of my install But I didnt remember until I had already put it in...
