TRUtech, ED speaks highly of them
Has any one heard of TRU technologies amps. I have a ED e10k, and rockford fosgate fanatic X component system, and I was lookin for a 4 channel amp to push it all,
I was going to go with the RF power 551X heres the specs:

But recently visiting the ED site I saw the info on TRU amps, which ED seems to speak very hihgly of, and am now interested in the TRU T-4.65 heres the specs
http://www.trutechnology.com/t_series.htm
Curious if any one has any experience wiht this company or if they are a new mainly web based company. Amp looks cool. By the specs which would you guys go with to push the sub and components i mentioned
Thanks
Jim

Looks to me like they are a well built amp. I looked at the circuit topology and power consumption along with channel seperation and they seem to be well in line with some of the better amps available on the market. I haven't personally heard them but I am sure that they are clean and looking at the amount of fets they are using I would say that their power ratings are accurate. You also notice that they did not use enormous coils on the amp which also hints at the amps ability to reproduce cleanly. I looked at the copper series solid state and it is a great looking amp internally (all are really). I was most impressed with the solid state copper series circuit topology and layout moreover the other amps but I am sure you can't go wrong with any of them.
i loved the trutech amp but the one i was looking at had a price of around $700, so I went with the RF power 551X. Got it for like $215. Looks like a decent amp, and if it pushes the power it says it does it should fit my needs, and I think its a step up from my old amp, which is in my sig.
Thanks for the info guys, always appreciated.

Roush,
I currently work in the telecommunications industry as a NOC Engineer for AT&T. I like to say that I am in charge of upgrading, controlling and maintaining the single greatest assest in America. We do FR/ATM, VOIP, VPN, Switched Access, Voice, SDN, and ISDN services to name a few. Prior to AT&T I worked in home audio and car audio while it was in it's infancy (yeah the 80's) selling, installing, repairing and building custom circuits. It is still my most loved hobby and in a way I kinda miss being out of the loop so to speak. Maybe one of these days I will land my dream job in the R&D department of a company like Alpine or another company like them.

Nice ! I work in the IT/IS Industry myself ,except I do the structured cableing installs...Presently a cat5/fiber Jockey....I did the elctrical thing,Received an associates in "Electrical Power and Control Technology", I just recieved my E1 License in CT. Working my way up the Information ladder now,Wanted to get into a higher tech field so I'm just learning about those little wires, heh heh..Sound is my hobby too but no where near your level...I would love to be independently wealthy so I could just do random custom installs...
I always thought that the IT/IS industry would be more glamorous than it is. Personally I think it sucks. Everything seems to be done the hard way. Change careers now and run as fast as you can. Don't look back or wonder what could have been. All of our jobs now are being sent over to India and other countries like them by the thousands. It sucks not having any stability but since the economic downturn job loss has accelerated at an alarming pace so it is only going to get worse before it gets better. The saddest thing of all is that all of the World Trade Agreements have truly undermined the American job market horribly. If the politicians don't figure out that this was a monumentally stupid idea soon we are going to be in serious trouble.
Great points...There's hardly any stability anywhere right now...Very scary...I don't think my job will be going anywhere fortunatly....I'm in a new company that is Tribaly owned and most of our work is in the Mohegan Sun Casino up here in CT presently. Were growing well, and branching out into other areas. The future is looking really well FOR NOW ! We will see.. Good luck in your endeavors !
