Exclamation Good replacement amp?

I blew another crossover on my Infinity Kappa 6.5 components and i think this time that the amp isnt pushing what its rated and im tryin to make it do what i want by turning up the gain. So im guessing its clipping the signal and blowin the crossovers. My thought was to get bigger amp and turn the gains down to try to stop clipping and maybe get a cleaner signal. Is this a good idea? The amp I have now is a Ma Audio HK297 400 watt 2 channel amp. Ive heard that there amps dont put out near what there rated at so i want to get one that maybe is. Here are 2 that i have found, http://www.electronicgiant.com/catal...oducts_id=1559

Are these good amps? If not what would you suggest? Any help is appriciated. If possible i need help soon so i can go ahead and order my new amp.

Thanks alot,
X

X, I don't have any personal experience with MA, but they are very average, at best, from everything I've heard about them. That amp is rated at 100 watts RMS into 4 ohms, and the speakers are rated at 90 watts RMS. So on paper they seem to be a good match. But the Kappas are pretty decent speakers, and the "real world" combo with the MA amp might not be so good. Buying a high end amp is never a bad idea. And how you play your system goes a long way in determining what amp you should buy and how you should adjust gains. Just my opinion.
