Question for a freind

A freind of mine recently had a single 10 L7 4 ohm sub istalled in his Honda civic. He is using a kicker 400.1 amp wired in parralell so it puts out 400 at 2 ohms. I went with him to hav it installed and when he said he wanted it in parralell and the guy said that the amp wont last on 2 ohm. He said that hardly any amp is 2ohm stable. My freind wants to know if it will be ok on 2 ohm? The guy said he had built many a competion cars, but he was also saying that u had to bridge mono amps so when u run them at 2 ohms they would fry. Im not real smart on all this stuff yet but i thought u had to have 2 cahnnels to be able to bridge and that a mono inly has one channel. This is just to ease my freinds mind so he doesnt have to worry about it.

Thanks,
X

The amp is stable at 2 ohm bridged, so there is nothing to worry about. Tell the installer to look it up next time!
