Okay, i dont have these 350 watt subs... I need someone to recommend me an amp for some big boys. I have two kicker solobaric L7 12s. They are a combined 1400 watts RMS with peak power at over 2000. I need to know a great amp, prefereably kicker, and info about replacin the alternator, and competition battery, batcap...etc.

See the thread "capacitor?" for power questions. Also the question about amps will get you a wide variety of replies. Most high end amplifier companies make truly nice equipment that the ear would not be able to tell apart so don't be to concerned with the who makes it but instead look more to what will provide the power you want with the greatest efficiency. A big ol' honkin mother of all amps class D would be good for the subs ad the higher efficiency rating would be of great importance when it comes to power demands. So just go around and listen to some reputable competition type class D amps and make your decision for yourself.

The biggest amp kicker makes is the KX1200.1 mono, They have a new amp the SX1250.1 which looks pretty sweet but it saw a price for there SX650.1 some where and it was like 600 -800 dollars. So i cant imagine how much the 1250 would cost. The new SX series looks pretty cool the have some kind of digital display and controls, I think every thing is controled electronicly instead of having to use a screw driver or a coin to do it. You can link the KX1200.1 amps to gether to get one big honkin 2400 watt amp. Theres better amps out there thats just what i know about the kicker stuff.

All of the amps mentioned in the previous posts are of super quality. Not to mention about 30-40 additional high end amps not previously mentioned. I saw in one of the threads TEK2000 was talking about Elemental Designs so I went and checked their website and the prices on some of their beast sized amps are what I would call best on the market. However, I do not have any experience with their line-up so maybe TEK2000 could give you more info on them. Anyway here is the website for them www.edesignaudio.com check them out and look at the prices on their larger amps. If they perform to the specs they advertise they are the best deal I have ever seen but like I said ask TEK2000 more about them.

www.electronicgiant.com sells the Planet Audio TT1250D for $310 + shipping. Planet Audio makes high quality amps, they come with a 5 year warranty & a birth sheet showing the actual rms. The only bad thing is electronicgiant takes forever to ship (3-4 weeks).
