INPUT question

here is the quesstion........i put both inputs into the amp. sounds good. if i take one of the 2 inputs out (doesnt matter which one) the subs still work.....but are MUCH louder....almost like they're overdriving or something. they are mtx 8000's ...2 10's so , this being my first set of subs.....i do not know if it wired wrong.....or if the subs are just overdrived when one input is pulled out. is it safe to run it with jsut one input???

I would not recommend running only one input...how is your system wired?

Do you have SVC or DVC subs? What ohms? How do you have the subs wired into the amp? Is the amp bridged? Do you have the speaker wire + and - connected to the line converter properly?

I don't see how it is louder with one input...maybe you should have a local shop check it out.

yep i had a shop check it out yesterday. It was out of phase, meaning i had 1 set of wires which had the (+) and (-) mixed up, in this case it was behind the dash. The reason it was louder was because the 2 signals were essentially cancelling eachother out. The bass is nearly twice as loud now and very clear and crisp!
