Emblem replacement?

I've read many threads on which part numbers are correct and there seem to be some conflicting reports where people are getting the wrong emblem. I need to replace both the front and rear emblems due to them de laminating. Have they been redesigned so this wont happen again?

Also, I've read you can use the '09 flareside on the '04 - 08 tailgates, is this true? . What about the front? Will an '09 emblem work on a 2008?

I'm sick of looking at this ugly Ford emblem. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all the numbers. Are any of those ford ovals for the tailgate or just the f150? Thanks again.

Also, after calling around for hours and also speaking with ford, they said all front emblems are the same from 2004 to July 2009 and were changed after that. Who knows. Every place I called gave me a different answer haha.

All those part numbers and people saying you can use the 09 emblems on the tailgate are the "f150" badges for the fender and the tailgate, not the ford oval. the reason you can use the flareside emblems is the styleside use tabs to hold them in vecause of the body lines. but once again, this is for the "f150" badge not the ford oval. from 04-06ish had flat ford ovals, 07-08 like ours curve out. if you want a new one tascaparts.com has everything, but i dont think theyve fixed it, hope this helps.

FX4thewin, thank you! You've cleared up any confusion I had. For some reason I thought everyone was speaking of the Ford emblems and not the F150 emblems.

Just stopped by the dealer. I'm going to put the 2012 Ford emblem on the rear. It looks exactly like mine, but maybe the design is better. Who knows, it's only a .60 cent difference.

They didn't have any new front emblems in stock. They also look the same and I think I may try one. Even if the plastic pins don't line up, I'll just cut them off. The 3M tape should be strong enough to hold by it self.

Thanks again!

www.tascaparts.com should have the right ones also......just enter in your vin# before you search for the grill emblem......but not for the 09+ "f150" tailgate badge.....

Thanks. I know their prices are some of the best, but I've read about a lot of people on here getting the wrong front emblem even when Tasca claims it'll fit.

Ya I had a go around with them on a 09+ tailgate f150 badge...they kept insisting they sent a flareside one when actually a styleside one was sent.....a few emails and pics resolved it quick but it still took two weeks....

My ovals are jacked too, so I just bought some decal overlays on ebay. I just put them on today. I don't know how long they'll stay on but it's a fix for now.

I bought my 09' fender badges from tascaparts for my 07. Fit perfectly. They really improved the look of the 09's in my opinion.

I've painted the rear oval black/tinted a'la Hawaiianboy, and am going to do the front soon.

XL, that design would look good on your reverse Oreo truck as well, with all the black accents. Cheaper than buying badges and makes the truck look 100% better, too.

Search on Ebay you can find front and rear shipping included for $25 a piece and they install in about 4 minutes for both.

Dont know what look your going for but if you use paint remover mixed with some elbo grease you can get all the blue off so it'll be all chrome.
