Exactly Shell, ExxonMobil, Shell and CHevron all have refineries in Deerpark, LaPorte, Baytown and surrounding area producing gas exclusively for each company.

I believe it's an ally deal. BP is British Petrolleum therefore support our British friends. I have it on my 06 and it's E68 ready, but none available yet.

Well what oil companies are ALL American? I'd rather give to England than S. America/Any Where Else.

Ford & BP have cross-marketing/promotion deals in several markets (US, Europe, Middle East). Ford cars in the BP ads, BP stickers on the Fords, Ford & BP working on engines/emmissions in England, consumer education in the US, and alternative fuel research.

doesn't BP suppy arco and am/pm and other stations? The cheap guys? I haven't noticed any BP stations around here. I have noticed a difference when running the cheap gas compared to shell or chevron though. Am I mistaken?

Business Wire, July 1, 2005

DEARBORN, Mich. -- As Ford Motor Company and BP engineers continue working collaboratively toward sustainable mobility solutions, they also are working to link the two companies in the minds of consumers. Beginning this July, 2006 model Ford Division cars, pickups and SUVs in the U.S. will bear gas caps recommending BP to customers as an extension of a unique relationship the company has developed with this leading fuel provider.

This is the first time in the United States a major auto manufacturer has recommended an energy company's fuel. Early joint efforts for the Ford/BP filler cap initiative in Europe have been very successful, and have paved the way for the current launch in the U.S. Nearly 3 million Ford products in the U.S. will feature fuel caps with "Ford recommends BP" and the BP helios logo.

"The relationship between Ford and BP is a great fit for a number of reasons - common customers worldwide, strong retail networks, and complementary technologies," said Ford Division President Darryl Hazel. "The fuel cap recommendation allows customers to establish a tangible connection between both companies. We expect to have future promotions between Ford dealerships and BP retail locations that will strengthen that association even further."

I just used BP gas since it is 92 octane. then I saw that shell 91 was 15 cents cheaper for 1 less octane. Ill try that for a while. It ads up 25 gallons.
