Hi all,

I’m gonna install power fold mirrors on my 2020 f150. I’m not sure when but Ford relocated the outside air sensor from the front grille to the side mirror. It looks like it’s just on the passenger mirror and not the driver side. My question is can I use an earlier year side mirror say ‘15/16/17 for the driver side?

15 and newer should be compatible. Just a guess.

 

Yeah I think all 15-20 mirrors physically fit but 18-20 has a temp sensor on them. Looking at my truck it looks like only the passenger side has the sensor. I was hoping I could use any year 15-20 mirror for the driver side. The reason I asked cuz you can find a bunch of 15-17 mirrors on eBay sold individually and I’m piecing this project together.

 

How are you planning on getting around the 8 pin to 21 pin conversion? Last I had checked the more "spec'd" mirrors all have the 21 pin connectors, where as a mirror with just heat, signal, and mirror adjust have the 8 pin connectors. It is definitely doable, easiest would be getting lariat and above complete door harnesses.

 

I have the xlt luxury package with the 22 pin connector. Some xlt’s have blis n such so the 302a has the bigger 22 pin connector. However none of the xlt’s have power fold so even though I have 22 pin I gotta buy the lariat door harness.
