Just ordered the tailgate assist hinge/shock assembly for my 2019 f150 XLT supercrew 5.5. It was part number hc3z-99406a10-a. When I went to install it the brackets didnt match! Is there another version of this, cant seem to find the right answers. Thanks!

That sure looks right to me... what was it about it that didn't fit?

The only thing I see is that the one I got didn't have a ball to install. The ball was already there behind the tail light. And yours looks like there is a protective sleeve over the other ball.

You do know you take that passengers side tail light out to install it?
