Steering wheel controls and Sync3 issues
I have a 2016 F150 XLT FX4 with 32k miles. Have had the truck since it got pulled off the delivery truck and have had a few issues here and there but nothing I didn't expect. Right now the right side of my steering wheel controls went down and isn't working. From the research I've done the clock spring is the likely culprit. I'm trying to figure out if anyone else has had this issue before and what they did to fix it?
Second part of this issue is that my 2016 came with sync 3 V1.0. I have tried downloading the files from ford to update the the latest sync 3 and anytime i download the file from ford it shows as corrupted. Wondering if anyone has a way of helping with this since it refuses to update via wifi.

The wife had a 2014 Fusion that we had the same issue with the Sync 3. Ended up the car wasn't so much the problem as the phone. If you have an older phone, it's probably the issue. Not all phones work with Sync 3 is what we found out. There is a Ford website that has a list of all acceptable phones for the Sync 3 in the older vehicles.
You might research the issue. I recall it was something to do with the protocols that certain phones use that was not compatible with Sync 3. She ended up with a new phone. That was $800.00 I'll never see again.

Thanks but I have a brand new Note 10+ and so far it's been doing it more and more. I'm leaning towards teh fact that it's a V1.0 because I have yet to be able to upgrade to the latest sync.
